Saturday game report: Bucks at Grizzlies

ON THE COURT PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ersan Ilyasova played center in addition to his usual power forward role and did about everything he could for coach Scott Skiles on Saturday. With the Bucks missing Andrew Bogut, Ilyasova played a huge part in the Bucks' comeback victory with 18 points and 12 rebounds. PLAY OF THE GAME: Charlie Bell spotted up in the corner, and Luke Ridnour found him with a pinpoint pass. Bell's three-pointer with 3:06 left gave the Bucks a 93-90 lead and they never trailed again.

Milwaukee springs a speed trap

Milwaukee tried to push the pace against the bigger Grizzlies, using quick guards Brandon Jennings and Luke Ridnour. And the strategy worked as the Bucks fought back from an early deficit as they rallied to open their four-game road trip with a 103-98 victory over the Grizzlies.

Friday game report: Bucks vs. Bobcats

ON THE COURT PLAYER OF THE GAME: Bucks guard Brandon Jennings got it going early on the offensive end, making seven of eight shots and scoring 17 points in the first quarter. He made two of three shots from three-point ranges and handed out two assists. "We talked to him before the game," said coach Scott Skiles. "With guys out, we needed him to start a little quicker and he certainly did. He got us off to a great start." PLAY OF THE GAME: Why does Skiles sometimes have point guards Luke Ridnour and Jennings on the court together? Late in the second quarter, Jennings penetrated the lane but then dished out to Ridnour, who sank a wide-open three-point shot that gave Milwaukee a 53-41 halftime lead.

Home stand ends in fashion

It was a little rough around the edges, but the Milwaukee Bucks put an exclamation mark on the end of their longest home stand of the season by defeating the Charlotte Bobcats, 95-88, Friday night.

Bogut eyes quick return

Andrew Bogut has been down this path before and returned quickly after suffering a painful leg injury. Now the 7-foot Milwaukee Bucks center hopes he can do it again.
